 We are honored to shine the spotlight on Dr. Diane Gerlach, a remarkable pediatrician with Aurora Health, who has dedicated over 20 years to the practice of medicine. Her passion for early childhood care and commitment to making a difference have left an indelible mark on our community.
Dr. Gerlach has been an instrumental partner of Building Our Future, actively contributing to the Smart Beginnings Network and serving as a core team member of Early Learning Nation. As the Board Chair for the Children’s Health Alliance of WI, she has been pivotal in providing development screening training through their initiatives, making share that children receive the support they need at the earliest stages of life. Dr. Gerlach was an integral part of bringing the Help Me Grow system to Kenosha county. This invaluable resource equips parents with the necessary tools and resources to support their children’s development, promoting a strong foundation for their future. In addition to her impact with BOF, Dr. Gerlach addresses early literacy by participating in the Reach Out and Read program. By providing books to her families, she empowers parents as their child’s first and best teacher, fostering a love for learning from an early age. As a member of the Act Early State Team in partnership with the CDC Learn The Signs program, Dr. Gerlach advocates for developmental and autism screening, ensuring that children’s developmental milestones are closely monitored and addressed.
