The 2021-2022 school year saw the highest absenteeism rates and lowest attendance rates for high school students of the past 7 years. While this trend was not unique to Kenosha County Schools, we did see sharper spikes/drops than many other counties. While exploring the data, consider the following questions:
What systemic barriers are getting in the way of students regularly attending schools?
What does the relationship between attendance rates, graduation rates and ACT scores suggest about college readiness in Kenosha?
What do you notice about the gaps in attendance and absenteeism by grade levels over the past 10 years?
