Register in advance here: https://www.kenoshaunitedway.org/ccn-digital-equity #CCNGathering #UnitedWay #Kenosha Last month Principal Joel Kaufmanm at Brass Community School presented compelling data about last year's student attendance. Our Lincoln Park/Uptown CCN recognizes that attendance is one factor that impacts reading and math proficiency at Brass and as a result began to explore a Walking School Bus to address absenteeism. Brass Community School is a "commuter school" where many of its students live within a 2-mile radius and don't qualify for district transportation. If you are familiar with our work, you may be aware that this network worked on a Walking School Bus a few years ago but had to hit pause due to the pandemic. Join us as we work to bring this project to fruition at Brass!
