Over the last three months, 8 high school students have been a part of BOF’s Youth Leadership Cohort led by Community Engagement Network Manager Lawrence Kirby. This cohort is an opportunity for youth to lead and engage in specific projects that elevate their voice. It provides tangible tools to help advance youth’s leadership skills in school, at work and in life such as conflict resolution, continuous improvement, organizing and event planning. Last week the students did a great job with hosting the 2023 KUSD School Board Candidate Forum. Learn more about the 2023 School Board Candidates here. Join us Wednesday, March 15th for a Youth-led School Board Candidate Forum. This forum is planned and executed by KUSD high school students and provides an opportunity to lift the youth voice as they host a Q&A with board candidates. Doors open at 6pm at Indian Trail High School’s Auditorium. The forum will start promptly at 6:30pm. This event will also be live streamed to Building Our Future’s Facebook page.
