This one-of-a-kind event is completely organized and run by students, with youth crafting and posing the questions to candidates.

Our Youth Voice Project is excited to host a 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡-𝐋𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 for the upcoming 𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐃 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 this April!
High school students from KUSD are taking the lead in planning this event, creating a unique opportunity for the community to hear directly from the candidates. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: A Q&A session hosted entirely by KUSD high school students—showcasing their leadership, initiative, and commitment to shaping the future of our schools. This program empowers high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors to build leadership skills and take an active role in shaping our community, including organizing the annual Youth-Led Town Hall Board Candidate Forum on March 13, 2025. We’re also pleased to welcome Destiny Garcia, a freshman at Carthage College, as our intern and co-facilitator for the project.
