Program Name: Baby Storytime
Eligibility: Open to any parent/caregiver with a non-walking child ages 0-18 months Description: Baby Storytime is for infants (0-18 months) who are not yet walking and their caregivers. Join us for books, songs, rhymes, interactive play, and MORE! Learn More Program Name: Wonderful Ones Storytime Eligibility: Open to any parent/caregiver with one-year-olds (12-24 months) Description: Wonderful Ones Storytime is for one-year-old (12-24 months) children and their caregivers. Early listening and literacy skills are developed through books, fingerplays, and songs. Learn More Program Name: Toddler Storytime Eligibility: Open to any parent/caregiver with two and three-year-old children Description: Toddler Storytime is for two and three-year-old children and their caregivers. Early listening and literacy skills are developed through books, fingerplays, and songs. Learn More Program Name: Preschool Storytime Eligibility: Open to any parent/caregiver with three to five-year-old children Description: Preschool Storytime is designed for three to five-year-old children. Program Name: Even Start Program
Eligibility: Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie, and Somers families who have children ages birth through 5 years old Description: The Even Start Program includes free family literacy, English as a second language classes, family engagement, parenting skills, and early childhood education. Families and/or adults may elect to participate in some or all of the programs as long as they meet the qualifications outlined below. Learn More 
Program Name: 1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Eligibility: Open to ages 0-6, before kindergarten Description: Challenges parents/caregivers to read 1000 books with their child before entering Kindergarten. Program Name: Dolly Parton Imagination Library
Eligibility: Enrollment Required - Open to those residing in the following zip codes: 53104, 53170, 53179, 53181, 53192 and 53168 Description: All participating children from birth to 5 years of age receive free age-appropriate books mailed directly to the child's home every month. Learn More 
Program Name: Early Head Start
Eligibility: Families that are pregnant and children 0-3 Description: During weekly home visits, parents are taught educational strategies to insure their child builds a strong foundation for school readiness. Services facilitate child development, support parental roles, and promote self-sufficiency, and are provided at no cost to the family. Learn More Program Name: Early Intervention Eligibility: Between the ages of birth to 3 years, display a minimum 25% developmental delay OR have a diagnosed condition known to cause a developmental delay. Third party insurance is NOT necessary, however, families may be asked to contribute toward the cost of services. Description: Assists families and caregivers to enhance children’s learning and development through everyday learning opportunities. The program provides service coordination, special education, physical, occupational and speech therapies for children ages birth to three years, who exhibit developmental delays. Key principles for providing early intervention services expand on the mission of the program and include best practices for supporting families. Program Name: Y Summer Program in the Parks
Eligibility: Student at Frank, Brass, or Lincoln schools Description: This program is for students entering 1st-5th grade (Frank/Columbus Park) and 6th-8th grade (Lincoln) who are currently enrolled in the Kenosha Y Achievers program or attend Frank, Brass, or Lincoln school. Program Name: The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha Sylvan Tutoring Program
Eligibility: Club membership - $20 per year for youth ages 6-12, free for teens Description: The Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, in partnership with Sylvan Learning Center of Kenosha, offers a tutoring program designed to help Club members strengthen their reading skills through both one-on-one instruction and small group learning. This personalized support helps youth build confidence, improve literacy, and develop a lifelong love of reading. Tutoring is offered during the school year at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, 1330 52nd Street, as part of our after-school programming. Eligibility: All Kenosha County residents Description: We work with families in the Kenosha community to advance education centered on joy through literacy programs and activities. Literacy programs are geared towards elementary and middle school students and to young families. Learn More

Eligibility: Open to all families with children Description: The whole family is invited to storytime! Come read stories, sing songs, and have fun! Learn More Program Name: Family Reading Club Eligibility: Open to all families with children Schedule: Once a month during the school year Description: Read a book together as a family, then discuss it with others at the library! A new book is selected each month during the school year. The first 6 families to register for this event will receive their own copy of the book to keep. Book copies may be picked up from the Southwest Library 1 month in advance of the program date. Registration required. Please only register 1 person in your family.
