Tracking Student Success: New Data from Wisconsin DPI

3/23/2025

Picture
Earlier this month, Wisconsin’s Department of Public Instruction (DPI) released its latest data on high school completion, postsecondary enrollment, attendance, and more from the 2023-24 school year—along with fall enrollment figures for 2024-25.

While Kenosha County’s fall enrollment has declined for the seventh time in eight years, there are encouraging signs of progress: high school completion, postsecondary enrollment, and attendance rates continue to make incremental gains toward pre-pandemic levels.

Curious about how Kenosha’s student demographics and outcomes have shifted over time? Explore our Cradle-to-Career dashboard to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities for action.

BOF at Leadership Kenosha

3/18/2025

Last week, we were honored to join Leadership Kenosha’s 2025 cohort for their education-sector day! For the fifth straight year, we’ve partnered with local leaders to explore how collective impact drives education and economic mobility in Kenosha.

Through a data walk and root-cause-analysis exercise, we sparked meaningful discussions on educational outcomes—emphasizing that schools are just one piece of the puzzle in a student’s long-term success. The energy in the room was inspiring, and we can’t wait to see how these leaders turn insights into action!

Thank you, Leadership Kenosha, for the invitation! Let’s keep building a brighter future together.

Congratulations to our local high schoolers for hosting a thoughtful and engaging Youth Town Hall School Board Candidate Forum last week! Their leadership in fostering meaningful dialogue with KUSD School Board candidates highlights the power of youth voice in shaping the future of education.

A huge thank you to Gateway Technical College for hosting us at HARIBO Hall/Madrigrano Conference Center, and to Justin Matthews and the Upload Partners team for making the livestream possible. We also appreciate Kenosha News and TMJ4 News for covering this important event.

With the spring election just weeks away, now is the time to learn about the four candidates running for two open seats on the KUSD School Board. If you missed the live event, you can still watch the full forum here!
